EMEA Product Analyst CBS
Location: Leiden
Your role:
At the OCLC European headquarters in Leiden, we have a unique job opening for a cooperative and communicative Product Analyst, who can relate well to different specialist groups from different cultures.
For this diverse job you will work with both an external as well as an internal oriented perspective: depending on the prioritization of projects you will be the liaison to our essential CBS business partners, as well as to our professional metadata specialists and highly skilled development teams in Europe and the US.
In this position you will, for example, be deeply involved in collecting and formulating technical and functional CBS (business user) requirements, but also supporting implementation or development projects with your expertise.
You are a member of the EMEA Product Management team, reporting to the Senior Product Manager Syndeo.
- You will work on collecting or creating detailed information utilized in strategic decision-making regarding product and configuration development, pricing, positioning, and release;
- You can translate requests of customers to software solutions and user stories with acceptance criteria as well as assessing and testing these;
- You liaise with EMEA development- and metadata staff to ensure that development output meets requirements and/or specifications;
- You provide product support to sales, implementation and customer support teams by operating as a subject matter expert (SME);
- You will assist with creating and coordinating year-plans in consultation with our internal teams or our CBS business partners;
- You like to travel occasionally to our CBS partners in the Netherlands, Germany and France to meet their library IT-specialists;
- You like to meet the Global Development team at the OCLC Corporate office in Dublin (Ohio).

You can offer us
- a bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Business Informatics, or other equivalent experience in metadata or IT;
- a minimum of 2-3 years work experience, preferably in (library) product analysis, product- and project management and/or software development;
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English;
- the eagerness to learn technical and complex subjects and be open to change and cultural differences;
- beneficial: presentation- and/or training skills, experience in an Agile/SCRUM environment;
- willingness to travel in the Netherlands, Europe and the US as described.
